Meet our Team

None of our work would be possible without the tireless efforts from our team.

Get to know a little about our CEO & Board members below.

Jen Hope

Chief Executive Officer

I'm married to Ian, and am the mom to three awesome kids.  I've also had the privilege to be like a mom to a couple others as well.  Whenever possible, I enjoy cooking, riding roller coasters, sitting on the beach and investing time with family and friends.  My motto is "Love God.  Love People."

While I have spent my career in the graphic design industry, I am being pulled to serve the families of those battling addiction and/or seeking recovery.  Our family's experience with our older son's addiction and recovery has changed the way I view life.

Side note: need a good book suggestion?  Pick up something by Bob Goff.

Bradley Mills

Board of Directors, President

My wife, Kimberly, and I have four children. I grew up in Huntington County, and after several career moves, decided to move to the SACS district in 1997.

I currently serve as a Project Manager for the VA of Northern Indiana, and as a member of the SACS Board of Trustees. Additionally, I spent several years as a youth sports coach.

I got involved with The Mom of an Addict because I was amazed by the number of people who were suffering and needed support with no one in which to turn for help.  Obviously, we need groups to help those suffering directly from their own addictions and we thank God that there are many groups that serve addicts in different ways.  We pray that these addicts find the program that works for them, before it is too late.

When Jen Hope pointed out the need for such a support group for the loved ones of people suffering from drug addictions, I was excited at the chance to be a part of it. I am proud to be a Board Member for such a wonderful organization!

Art Chokenea

Board of Directors, Vice President

My wife Lori, and I have two adult children, Andrew and Sara. I was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Fort Wayne in 1987. I am a business owner, golfer, and a recovering addict. I have been sober for 37 years.

I started Celebrate Recovery, a 12-step biblical program, in the Fort Wayne area, became the Indiana state representative and continue to mentor other recovering addicts.

Sallie Hersha

Board of Directors, Treasurer

My husband, Jeff, and I have three beautiful children. I enjoy trips to the beach (any beach), reading, and spending time with family and friends. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, and love my home town.

As a sibling of a recovering addict, The Mom of an Addict is dear to my heart. I remember feeling shame, embarrassment, and anger growing up with a brother battling addiction.

I’m so thankful there is a support group for family members to come together and know that they are not alone.

Jeni Streeter

Board of Directors, Secretary

I was raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania and have been married to Rob for 30 years. We have 2 boys,  Ryne and Tommy.

In 2013 my husband and I became members of a club we never wanted to belong to; our son was a full-blown opioid-heroin addict. The following years included 7 stays at rehabs and an immeasurable amount of tears, anger, despair and hope.

On April 1, 2020 Tommy celebrated 2 years of sobriety and we couldn't be more relieved. My husband and I have three beautiful grandchildren and we love to travel and follow the Chicago Cubs!

Donna Wray

Board of Directors, Member

I am Middle School Language Arts teacher and a mother of four. My husband is an attorney, my oldest daughter is a photographer, my youngest daughter is in the jewelry business, and my son works in the financial industry.

On January 21, 2019, my middle daughter, Emily, died from a heroin overdose. Emily and our family had battled this disease for over 10 years. Although our family struggles daily with this devastating loss, we are determined to help others in similar situations.

Being a part of The Mom of an Addict is the pathway to share our stories and provide help and support to others.
